Hi All,Kishore da fans,
I am one of the crazy fan of both Mohd Rafi Sahab and Kishore da.Both are great singers,Lengendry Singers.Why all will go for comparison between the two,that is leading to a quarrel between the two lengendry fans.I should say we should enjoy the music,the songs they both sung.
In there hay days both were very good friends,there was no any competition between them,in fact they sung so many songs together.Rafi saab sung quite more songs(around 26,000) songs,than Kishore da,that is bcz of Kisore da was in lime light for some time.
I should never try to compare the two singers,as they have there own unique style etc.

YES LET US NOT COMPARE BOTH THESE LEGENDS WHO ARE NOT WITH US BUT ALL FANS N LOVERS HAVE THE GREAT HITS OF RAFI SAB AND KISHOREDA.
FOR HEAVENS SAKE IT IS LIKE COMPARING DON BRADMAN WITH SACHIN BOTH ARE LEGENDS IN CRICKET,
IN MAHABHARAT WHO IS GREATER KARAN OR ARJUN?.
LIKE WISE WE CAN GO ON GO ON ………….TILL INFINITY.
KINDLY USE PROPER LANGUAGE BAPAN AS KISHORE DA IN HIS LIFETIME HAS NEVER USED SUCH FOUL AND BAD LANGUAGE. WHY ARE U GETTING FRUSTRATED?

R.D Burman did the accurate comparison of the two great singers years back.

He said in a malayalam weekly (If not mistaken he was in Kerala for a visit at that time)that When ever i am hearing Rafi I think of Evan Lendel’s play, it is according to the rules, he sings within the rules, but Kishore is like Mc’Enro he knows how to play for the public for that,he adds tricks . He also added that new singers are no where near them but they pretends that they are like Kishore and Rafi.

Why we are shouting over two great singers.They are above all comparisons.

I didn’t know that there is so much hate between Rafi fans and Kishore fans in India today.Why is this in Gods Name????

I happen to chance this blog while surfing. I find the abusive language by some of the contributors (mostly die hard fans of KK) disgusting.

A fact and two questions

Both Mohammad Rafi & Kishore Kumar came into the film industry in the later forties. If Kishore Kumar is made to be out to be the greatest, the best and what have you, then

1) where was Kishore from then to 1969, except for songs for films in which he acted and stray numbers for Dev Anand (and possibly for some other actors) here and there?

2) why Shankar Jaikishan & O P Nayyar used Mohammad Rafi as playback for Kishore in Shararat and Raagini respectively ?

As for me, I think we are fortunate that Hindi film music has been blessed by so many gifted artistes - composers, lyricists and singers - that we should rejoice.

I guess this would be a on-going debate on who was the best. I am an ardant fan of Rafi and KK. I consider them great playback singers in their own right.

Rafi had a well trained soft voice where as KK had a very masculine voice. Both were gifted playback singers .look at how Rafi used to blend his voice for Johnny walker, Devanand…and Kisore kumar for Rajesh Khanna, Sanjeev kumar , Amitabh.

At the end of the day both were great singers of the golden era of hindi music followed by the likes of Hemant Kumar, Manna dey and Muesh.

Sometimes competition can kill the norturing of new artistes …but thats inevitable!.

Like God, Great Kishore Da could not expressed in Words. Everybody is a Hero in his own, but Unlike anbody, Kishore Da …( i dont know, what he was…). If somebody is blessed with such a fantastic talents, then for me he can only be a great saint..Mahatama.

Kishore Da Tum Bahut Yaad Aate Ho..Plz come back..

No one has forced you to .. What is compelling you to do so?

Those who do compare these greats (Rafi saheb & Kishore da) are not true lovers of music but just want to be known as one.

Just keep quiet.

If you HAVE to compare keep your comments with yourself.
