This evening the first two performers were Tata Indicom challengers Milind Ingle and Anil Srivastava. Milind had worked his way to create a special place for himself and to be one among the super six. Amit Kumar wanted them to sing on the theme – “Nasha and Sharabi”. Milind chose the number Thodi Si Jo Pee Li Hai from the movie ‘Namak Hallal’ (1982), a Bappi Lahiri composition. Anil Srivastava sang Peenewalon Ko Peene Ka Bahana Chahiye from the movie ‘Haath Ki Safai’ (1974) a Kalyani-Anandji score. Sudesh Bhonsle wanted them to sing Chala Jaata Hoon Kisike Dhun Mein. Milind carried himself well throughout the song, but Anil forgot a few lines in the lyrics and fell below the judges’ expectations. He scored 22 with a 7 from Amit Kumar. Milind scored 26 with an impressive 9 from Amit Kumar.

With episode nearing its end and the day being Saturday, the gloomy time had neared when a participant would be eliminated from the programme. The participants who were in the danger zone were Sikandar, Anil and Chetan, each with a score of 7 from Amit Kumar. While Chetan was given Ksihore Kawach and escaped elimination, Bappi Lahiri asked Sikandar and Anil to sing Log Kehte Hain Mein Sharaabi. Sikander and Anil gave their best and the judges chose Anil over Sikandar. Sikandar, who had come all the way from Pakistan to pay his tribute to the legendary singer, had to bid farewell to the show. It was indeed a sad moment.

Sikandar bade his farewell to all with the song Zindagi Ki Yahi Reet Hai, a Javed Akhtar composition, the right song for a moment as this. The episode ended with a melancholy note, but we look forward to yet another entertaining week with more promising performances from these budding stars of tomorrow.
